Types of glass
Annealed glass – The word annealed refers to how the glass is heated and cooled. This type of glass is perfect for windows in low traffic areas.
Tempered glass – This glass has been treated in such a way, that when it breaks it, shatters into small cube like pieces, and is much safer than sharp jagged pieces of glass. Used in glass shelves, glass tabletops and glass shower doors.
Ceramic glass – Ceramic glass shares many of the same properties as both glass and ceramic. They are great in places that change temperature quickly, like a wood stove or cooktop.
Laminated glass – This type of glass remains intact when broken, due to the film between the panes. It is used in many applications but mostly windows and doors.

Took longer to ship out than expected. I had to make a wild guess that the green dot sticker was the low-E side of the unit. Instructions regarding this would have been nice. But it was made to exactly the ordered dimensions and well-sealed.

Window was pretty easy to order through the website, I entered the window size and was walked through selecting the remaining options to match the window I was replacing. The window came in two days earlier than expected so I was able to get it installed sooner than expected. The window was shipped extremely well packed and arrived with no problems. The only thing I would mention is that the glass is a shade clearer than the one right next to it, an original window that the home was built with has a very slight shade of green to it, but not enough to really stand out. I would surely order another window from One Day Glass if the need ever arises.

I got a quote from a local glass shop and they wanted almost $400 for a 18 x 36 inch insulated piece of glass installed. I decided to try it myself, One Day Glass was about $140 with tax and shipping included to North Dakota, for the same piece of glass insulated and Low E. "I was told it would cost approximately $6,000. to replace my large picture window, because all three windows were connected, and I could not replace just the small side window, where the double pane window glass was broken. This was NOT an option!
I DID NOT KNOW you could replace double pane window glass, without replacing the entire window.
One Youtube video, and one double pane, Low E with grids window later - at a cost of $183. - the window is fixed!!!!!

"We purchased a home with 2 large windows that had broken outer panes. I had Pella come out and quoted me 10K for 2 openings which totaled 4 windows. Stating that the glass could not be replaced, and that the frames were no longer in production therefore all 4 windows and frames needed to be replaced.
I also reached out to a local glazer and they would not offer to quote the repair.
Ultimately, I found One Day Glass, measured the glass in the window framed that needed to be replaced, placed my order which was 7% of the cost of Pella's quote.
Upon receipt of the windows I found them to be well packed, clearly marked with installation instructions, and over all a well constructed window.
Removal of old glass and installation took about 30 minutes per window. I think the only mistake we made was using too much glazing caulk when placing the windows and required us to clean up a bit of a mess."

I placed an order for an an odd shaped piece of glass as a replacement for an old writers desk and cabinet I inherited. I did my best to measure but with the arch at the top and the multiple corners of the piece I honestly doubted I would get a piece of glass that fit properly. Carrie was amazing! She emailed me when they got to my order and followed-up with questions (website only had option for 1” holes, but I had put 2” holes in my drawing). She stated they couldn’t cut the custom holes on the glass width I had chosen and had to size up. I said yes please, I still intended to have the product - she said no problem and no extra charge!! Her response time was phenomenal, still within the same day! When the product finally arrived it fit our desk PERFECTLY, every 16th of an inch measurement was on point and the piece was cut to perfection! I was hesitant because I measured the glass I needed myself to the closest 16th of an inch. I've never done this before and I am just a normal person who doesn't do repairs. I needed 3 pieces that were all different sizes. I was hesitant, because the cost wasn't cheap for a gamble, but was way cheaper than all others I priced, plus the thickness was thicker than others.

I still haven’t put it to use yet but I was sure to completely unwrap it and make sure it didn’t get damaged. It’s not that hard to wrap it back up or put it aside once you confirm it’s good. I had zero problems but it would seem to be common sense being that it’s “glass” being shipped.

I need custom cut and polished edges for side glass in my low production Italian car. Glass was tempered and had holes in the bottom edge. I made a template from one original and ordered two pieces from Peninsula Glass. They made the glass and I received in about 2 weeks. Packing was excellent and the glass arrived intact. I compared to my original and except for a corner that was polished a little more round than the template and original, the glass was made correctly. The minor difference will be hidden inside the rubber trim in use. I am very satisfied and will use Peninsula Glass again if needed.

I wish I could have given One Day Glass more than five stars! I needed a large odd-size glass (63 x 16 inches) for a tall and narrow wicker chest, and I loved the fact that I could order this on line, and custom-cut to the exact measurements I needed, which was not offered by most other websites. To my surprise and pleasure, the glass arrived earlier than estimated. The packaging was secure and the glass is of the highest quality! I love it so much that I ordered another one for a smaller wicker side table. I highly recommend One Day Glass as the best source for cut-to-order sizing and unmatched quality. The prices were 1/5th of what I was quoted locally for what I needed. The glass arrived yesterday, a full week earlier than what had been quoted, and came out perfect. The measurements and finish to the glass were exactly what I ordered. I have some other glass projects coming up this is now the only place I'll get my glass.

Absolutely perfect! I had a rather atypical request that required lots of drilling and customization. It's a glass lid for a custom vivarium build for some poison dart frogs. I couldn't be more happy with the finished result! Highly recommend One Day Glass, they do absolutely amazing work! I'll post some updated photos once everything's installed and assembled.

Their order process is very straightforward and easy, and they have reasonable rates for residential customers who are only ordering a small amount unlike some of the other places online. I ordered a single piece of tempered glass to custom specifications with a hole in it for my aquarium and it showed up exactly as I ordered about a week later, and was very well packaged.
